Salary for nurses are different in different states; the job responsibilities along with the quantum of work is what decides the same. There are different types of nurses and every kind of job requires different training and experience. The duties of a nurse is not just maintaining records of the medicine adminisetred to patients in a hospital, dress wounds in case of emergency and accident patients, etc. Their job extends to much more than that. Thus, depending on what the nurses have to do in the professional front, their salaries vary and the scope for earning more in terms of increment or promotion is totally dependent on the individual organization.

When one is deciding upon the career path of being a nurse and sets about searching a job, the first thing that should come in mind is the place where they wish to work. The reason behind saying this is very crucial because the cost of living index varies from every city to city, let alone states. Also, do check the different courses that they have to do for getting the desired job and to be placed well. You can either check the nurse salary first and then decide upon the education and career path, or else, choose the line of interest first and then set the other priorities.
