Importance of Good Salary in Job

Salaries are big factor of motivation for getting a job satisfaction, irrespective of job profile and work you do daily. The job might get monotonous at times, as is the case with every profession, unless of course you are into a creative field or are given enough challenges and opportunities to grow and learn. However, salary does matter at the and of the day. There are many things associated with the earning capacity of a person.

What does Salary do?

A good salary, and we do not mean a fat one, provides a lot of motivation to stick to the work. Along with that, if the employer wishes to induce enthusiasm in the employees, incentives are a good idea. The incentives should be targeted for different employees; it may or may not always be in terms of money alone. One may include certain perks along with giving a certain basic salary for the job.
Let us have a look at the following factors that signify the importance of a good salary in a job.

Appreciation
Salaries are much more than actually hankering for more money. It is plain and simple translation of appreciation of your work. The salaries differ because apparently you are evaluated and earn an increment for your contribution towards the organization and performance on job. So when the salary is not good, it gives a negative show and subsequently causes disappointment.

Requirements
One has certain commitments, obligations, requirements, liabilities, etc., to fulfill and how else can one do that if not by means of earning money. Moreover, when it comes to family, health issues, and other things, it never decreases, on the contrary it keeps escalating. For this same reason, a person looks for a better paying job always.

Life Style
Every one has the right to have a good and luxurious life style. I am not saying here that it is the employer's onus to provide these to each of their employees, but surely he/she can open the scope for earning more by giving some additional work and leave it up to the employee's discretion to make use of it.

In the end, what really matters is the individual's own purpose and reasons. These were a gist of the commonly known reasons to have a good salary. Nevertheless, we reach out to the employers to cater to these things and appeal the freshmen to negotiate well thinking on these lines.
