The job might get monotonous at times, as is the case with every profession, unless of course you are into a creative field or are given enough challenges and opportunities to grow and learn. However, salary does matter at the and of the day. There are many things associated with the earning capacity of a person.

A good salary, and we do not mean a fat one, provides a lot of motivation to stick to the work. Along with that, if the employer wishes to induce enthusiasm in the employees, incentives are a good idea. The incentives should be targeted for different employees; it may or may not always be in terms of money alone. One may include certain perks along with giving a certain basic salary for the job.

Salaries are much more than actually hankering for more money. It is plain and simple translation of appreciation of your work. One has certain commitments, obligations, requirements, liabilities, etc., to fulfill and how else can one do that if not by means of earning money. Life Style

Every one has the right to have a good and luxurious life style. I am not saying here that it is the employer's onus to provide these to each of their employees, but surely he/she can open the scope for earning more by giving some additional work and leave it up to the employee's discretion to make use of it.
